Xiaomi has already surprised the folks with the impressive design of the Mi Note 2 and Mi Mix smartphones. Thanks to the Galaxy S7 Edge-like display, the Mi Note 2 gained a massive popularity and as a result of which, the smartphone went out of stock within 50 seconds; Hence, emerged as the fastest selling Xiaomi mobile.
Secondly, the Mi Mix created buzz for its first ever bezel-less display. Apparently, the company is now working on another smartphone which is rumored to feature a curved display.
According to a GizmoChina report, a leaked image of the alleged Xiaomi smartphone has been revealed on Weibo. The leaked image shows the front display of the device with MIUI running on it. The noteworthy point in the image is its design. The smartphone doesn’t have any curved edges. Instead, it boasts a concave display. The curved center on the upcoming mobile resembles with the LG G Flex smartphone.
The G Flex smartphone was launched way back in 2014 and its successor LG G Flex 2 was revealed later in 2015. Also, rumors of a new addition to the series, the LG G Flex 3 smartphone is expected to happen by the end of this year.
Coming back to upcoming Xiaomi mobiles, the curved display in Mi Note 2 was supplied by LG. So, the chance of getting a curved display in Xiaomi mobile is fairly possible. Xiaomi has already introduced smartphones with incredible displays this year. The latest surprise from Xiaomi was the Mi Mix alongside the Mi Note 2. The company launched both smartphones at the same event.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is the most expensive smartphone to date from the company. Also, it is the first smartphone from Xiaomi to come with a dual-edge curved display. The latest mobile features a 5.7-inch dual-edge full HD (1080×1920 pixels) flexible OLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. The display of the smartphone features a sunlight display pro mode which allows the legibility even under direct sunlight.
The Mi Note 2 smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor clocked at 2.35GHz. The handset is offered in two variants- 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage.
On the camera front, the Mi Note 2 offers a 22.6MP primary rear camera with Sony’s IMX 318 Exmor R sensor, PDAF, LED flash and electronic image stabilization. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie shooter with autofocus feature. The Smartphone is powered by a 4070mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
