Recently, the Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi has released its Redmi Note 4 model in India with starting price of Rs 9,999. Now, the company is expected to introduce its new smartphone named as the Redmi Note 4X on February 14 (Valentine’s Day), according to a teaser posted on Weibo. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X was earlier spotted in few leaks which revealed some important details about the specifications and design of the upcoming mobile.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is expected to feature a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. The smartphone will come equipped with a MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core chipset. The initial rumours of the Redmi Note 4X stated that the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, which is not in line with the latest leaks. However, there is a possibility that the Xiaomi will release a Snapdragon variant in Indian market, as the company is not allowed to sell devices with MediaTek processors in India due to legal issues. To recall, Xiaomi is in a legal dispute with Ericsson over patents.
The Redmi Note 4X smartphone is expected to be offered in 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB of RAM variants with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of internal storage options. Also, there will be an option to expand the storage by using microSD card up to 32GB. For photography, the smartphone will offer a 13MP primary rear camera alongside an 8MP selfie snapper. It will also believe to boast a dedicated fingerprint scanner at the rear panel.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS along with a 4000mAh battery. The connectivity features on the device include 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, Infrared, Bluetooth, micro USB, Wi-Fi, and GPS/A-GPS. The smartphone measures dimensions at 151×76.3×8.54mm. It will come in Gray, Silver, and Gold colour variants.
The Redmi Note 4X is expected to be launched on February 14, however, its official launch in India is not known yet. Presently, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is available in India exclusively on Flipkart in flash sale model.
