Xiaomi hasn’t put a word on its plans for the next edition of its bezel-less concept smartphone, named as the Mi Mix. However, the latest leaks are indicating a new edge-to-edge display smartphone from Xiaomi mobiles. A new smartphone dubbed as Xiaomi Mix Evo has been spotted on Geekbench which revealed some of the key specifications of the smartphone.
If the latest leaks are to be believed, the alleged Xiaomi Mix Evo smartphone will come equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 SoC clocked at a speed of 1.90GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM. The latest chipset is competent to handle 4K display and has support to Quick Charge 4.0 technology which is capable of drawing five hours of power from just five minutes of charging. Considering the possibilities of the new chipset, the supposed smartphone could also offer a display with higher resolution. The smartphone will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. The device has scored 1918 points on the single-core and 5689 points on the multi-core testing.
Earlier, rumours about a Nano version of Xiaomi Mi Mix smartphone has surfaced over the internet. The Mi Mix Nano smartphone was supposed to feature same design language as the original Mi Mix with but in slightly smaller size. Later, Zang Zhiyaun who is the Marketing Director at Xiaomi denied the reports stating that there is no such product called as Xiaomi Mi Mix Nano. While the company denied the development of Mi Mix Nano, it still leaves some room for another version with a different name, probably the Xiaomi Mix Evo.
Presently, the details about the Mix Evo are limited. The smartphone is expected to offer design similar to the Mi Mix including a ceramic unibody, bezel-less display and screen-to-body ratio of 91.3 percent.
To recall, the Xiaomi Mi Mix is the concept smartphone from the company which features a 6.4-inch near bezel-less display which is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Also, there is a Mi Mix Pro variant which offers 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
