Xiaomi Mi Max 2 spotted with 4GB RAM, 6.4-inch full HD Display

Xiaomi’s upcoming mobile the Mi Max 2 has been in the rumour mill from past few months. It will be the successor to the last year’s Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was recently spotted on the GFXBench website with a model name ‘Xiaomi Oxygen‘. The benchmark listing also revealed the detailed specifications of the upcoming mobile.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2: Rumoured Specifications

According to the GFXBench listing, the Xiaomi mobile with the model name, Xiaomi Oxygen (Mi Max 2) will feature a 6.4-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. Under the hood, there will be a 2.2GHz Qualcomm octa-core processor paired with Qualcomm Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS wrapped with MIUI on top.

For photography, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will offer a 12MP primary rear camera with LED flash and autofocus features. Also, there will be a 5MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. The primary camera of the device is competent for capturing 4K videos at 3840x2160p resolution. Lastly, the connectivity option comprises of Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, and Bluetooth. The sensor on board includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, pedometer, digital compass, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.

Xiaomi Mi Max: Specifications

To recall, last year’s Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone was launched at a price of Rs 14,999 in India. It features an aluminium and plastic body design with a massive 6.44-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display. The device boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexacore processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and an option to expand the storage via microSD card.
On the software front, the Mi Max smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and has a long-lasting 4850mAh battery. It has a dedicated fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. It offers a 16MP primary rear snapper with dual-tone LED flash. Up front, there is a 5MP selfie shooter with 85-degree wide-angle lens.

The Xiaomi Mi Max is a dual-SIM mobile (hybrid configuration) with 4G VoLTE connectivity. Besides, the handset offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, AGPS, micro USB 2.0, and GLONASS. It measures dimensions at 173.1x883x7.5mm and weighs 203 grams.

In India, the company has also launched another variant of Mi Max, dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi Max Prime for a price of Rs 19,999. The Mi Max Prime model packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The other specifications of the device are identical to Mi Max original model.
