Xiaomi has launched the Mi Band 2 in India alongside the Mi Air Purifier. The newly launched fitness band offers some interesting new upgrades and a set of new additional features from its previous version. The Mi Band 2 is priced at Rs 1,999 in India which will be available on company’s website from September 27 and on Amazon India from September 30.
The Mi Band 2 is featured with an OLED display so you can track the progress at a glance. It is the third fitness band from the company following the Mi Band and Mi Band 1s. The new Mi Band 2 is the successor to the Mi Band that was launched in 2014.
The latest Mi Band 2 has witnessed major upgrades over its predecessors in terms of the overall design and features. The noteworthy change is with the OLED display that helps users to quick check the data right on your fitness band which previously had to check on the app using the data log.
The Mi Band 2 comes with an optical heart-rate sensor on its back which is the important feature which you could expect from a fitness band. The similar feature was earlier provided on Mi Band 1s. The different modes can be toggled on the band using the anodized physical button.
The Mi Band 2’s battery offers the backup of 20 days which is slightly less than its predecessor which has offered the battery life of about a month. But considering the OLED display, the battery must drain out faster which should not blame. You can check out more Smartwatches from Xiaomi Here
The Xiaomi also claims that the wearable is tough enough to endure the water, dust and sweat resistance thanks to the IP67 certification. The band is manufactured from a hypoallergic silicon material which enables the band to take for a swim or even a shower.
Moreover, the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 features an upgraded pedometer, ADI accelerometer and a support for Bluetooth 4.0 that help the band to stay connected with a smartphone. Users can set customized alerts, which can be used for different purposes.
