Asus has recently launched a new gaming laptop in India called as the Asus ROG GX800 with ultra-high-end specifications and features. The latest laptop is priced at Rs 7,97,000 and it will only be available on request. The laptop is targeted at the users who requires the latest and the greatest hardware specifications.
The Asus ROG GX800 is the successor to the last year’s GX700 laptop. The GX700 had raised the eyebrows of the gamers for its unbelievable specifications, massive size, freaky price tag, and the overclocking capabilities. The GX700 was priced at Rs 4,12,990.
The new ROG GX800 inherit the similar concept as the GX700 and offers even more impressive specification sheet with a hefty price tag of Rs 7,97,000. The new laptop is for the gamers who are willing to have the latest and the most powerful gaming system no matter the cost. The ROG in its name stands for Republic Of Gamers.
Coming to the specifications, the Asus ROG GX800 come equipped with a 2.97GHz Intel Core i7-7820HK quad-core processor paired with dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs, 64GB of RAM, and an arrangement of three 512GB PCIe SSDs. It features an 18.4-inch LED backlit screen with 4K resolution and it supports Nvidia’s G-sync feature which ensures shutter-free gameplay by offering variable refresh rate.
Asus has introduced an improved mechanical keyboard in the latest GX800 Gaming laptop with RGB LEDs for each key which can be controlled individually. The company says that the new keyboard has the depth and tactile feel which is very comfortable for gaming and typing. The device has a mic array and four speakers setup along with ESS Sabre DAC for headphones.

The laptop has Thunderbolt 3.0 and 10Gbps USB 3.1 ports which are competent for delivering high-speed connectivity and capability to drive external displays. Furthermore, there are three additional USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, Mini-DisplayPort video output, and Gigabit Ethernet support on this gaming laptop.
The biggest highlight of the laptop is its Hydro Overclocking dock which incorporates a set of liquid cooling radiators. The laptop can be connected to the dock and the dock will pump in the liquid coolant to cool down the CPU and GPUs. According to the company, the CPU can be overclocked up to 4.4GHz while the GPUs and RAM will get the liquid cooling benefits to prevent overheating.
The Asus ROG GX800 comes with a massive 74Whr battery. If the user wants to run the laptop and dock simultaneously, then it will require the use of 330W power bricks to get their full capabilities. Coming to the weight, the laptop weighs 5.7 kg and the dock adds further 4.6 kg weight on it. The users will get Asus gaming mouse, a backpack, and a wheeled suitcase to carry the units around.
