Samsung is always known as a trend setter in consumer goods segment. Based on several leaks and rumors, the company is now headed to bring back the flip phones having a clam-shell design in its upcoming Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 smartphone. The device was recently leaked out on Weibo. And the leaked images are supposed to be the promotional photos of the phone.

Recent leaks have revealed the design and specifications of Samsung Galaxy Folder 2. The flip phone will run on an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system having a 3.8-inch display. The device will be equipped with Qualcomm processor with Adreno 308 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.
On the imaging front, it has an 8MP primary rear camera with auto-focus, LED flashlight and along with a fixed focus camera at the front having resolutions of 5MP. The phone offers 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and micro USB port. The device is backed by a 1950mAh battery.
The USP of the upcoming Galaxy Folder 2 is definitely its slim frame design.
Based on the leaked images, the phone will come in gold color option as there is no word from the company about possible color options. The dimensions of the device will measure 122×60.2×15.5mm and it will weigh around 155gm.
Samsung has maintained silence about its forthcoming Galaxy Folder 2 flip phone. This is not the first time for Samsung to develop flip phones. Galaxy Folder 2 is the successor of its China-exclusive Galaxy Folder which was launched last year.
Talking about the predecessor Galaxy Folder, it has a 3.8-inch multi-touch TFT display with 480×800 pixel resolution. The device runs on an Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of it. The device sports a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with a 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy Folder features an 8MP primary rear camera just like the upcoming mobiles. But there is an upgrade in the front camera department. The previous Folder device has a 2MP front camera while the upcoming has 5MP camera. Also, the battery offered in the previous device was 1800mAh while the upcoming has a 1950mAh battery.
