Samsung India has recently unveiled the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphones in India. The latest mobiles will be available in Gold Sand and Black Sky colour variant in India. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is priced at Rs 28,990 in India, while the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphone is priced at Rs 33,490. Both smartphones will be available for purchase from March 15 while the buyers can pre-book the smartphones via Samsung E-Store from Monday itself.
The Samsung A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017) resembles with the design language of the Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone. The devices have enhanced camera which is competent enough to capture better pictures in low-light.
Besides, the new Samsung Galaxy A-series smartphones offer IP68 rating which ensures the dust and water resistance. Samsung claims that these smartphones are first devices in the price segment to offer an IP68 rating. Both the smartphones come with 32GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 256GB, an always on display, a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button, a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, Samsung Cloud, and Secure Folder.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) are dual-SIM mobiles running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display, while the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) sports a bigger 5.7-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display. Both smartphones are equipped with a 1.9GHz octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM.
For photography, the devices offer a 16MP primary rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. Up front, they have 16MP selfie shooters with f/1.9 aperture. The connectivity options on Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 (2017) includes 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth. The sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, barometer, and magnetometer.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) measures dimensions at 146.1×71.4×7.9mm and has a 3000mAh battery, whereas the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) measures dimensions at 156.8×77.6×7.9mm and boasts a 3600mAh battery.
