ZTE‘s sub-brand Nubia has recently launched a new smartphone in India called as the Nubia M2 Lite. The new device is priced at Rs 13,999 and it will be made available exclusively on Amazon India in Black Gold colour. It features the NeoPower 2.5 suit which is said to be efficient to improve the battery life on the device using 118 new power optimisation features.
Nubia M2 Lite: Specifications
The Nubia M2 Lite was launched in March this year in China. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS powered by a Nubia UI 4.0 on top. The handset comes equipped with a MediaTek Helio P10 MT6750 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM.
For photography, the Nubia M2 Lite offers a 13MP primary rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. The company claims that the device features a strong multifunctional camera with Neovision 6.5 feature. Up front, there is a 16MP camera with a 79.8-degree wide angle lens, 5P lens, and f/2.0 aperture.

On the storage front, the Nubia M2 Lite has 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, USB OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi. The handset boasts a 3000mAh non-removable battery with support for fast charging. It measures dimensions at 155.73×76.73×7.68mm and weighs 164 grams.
Software
On the software front, the Nubia M2 Lite provides many customisation options. The devices have a feature which allows users to create two accounts on their device for work and personal profiles. Using this feature, one can have two accounts on Facebook, Whatsapp, or other popular apps.
Furthermore, the users can split the screen using gestures. If the user swipes up from the bottom of the screen, the screen will be split into two sections and it will let the user decide whether he wants to use it as portrait mode (upper and lower sections) or landscape mode (left and right sections). The company claims that the split screen feature is supported by most of the third party apps available on Play Store.
Besides, there is a long screenshot feature on the device which allows users to capture the complete page screenshots while scrolling down with one click. Moreover, the device has screen recording feature which let users record the activities performed on the screen.
Looking at the price, the Nubia M2 Lite will compete with likes of Moto G5 Plus, Honor 6X, Coolpad Cool 1, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. All these smartphones are below Rs 15,000 range.
