Moto G5 and G5 Plus Promotional Image, Specifications Leaked

The Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus, the mid-range smartphones from Lenovo are expected to be unveiled at the company’s event at MWC 2017 on February 26, in Barcelona. Ahead of the official launch of the upcoming mobiles, a Spanish online retailer has accidently released the supposed official renders and the promotional materials of the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphone. The leaks had revealed key specifications, features, and other details of the smartphones.

The Moto G5 smartphone is in rumour mills from a while and now famous tipster Evan Blass has revealed the specifications of the upcoming mobiles. Blass has shared a few renders and promotional materials of Moto G5 on his Twitter handle @evleaks. Apparently, the full specifications of the mobiles were listed on the Spanish e-tailer Ktronix; though the listing has pulled down later.

The latest leaks are in line with the previous leaks, and hints that the Moto G5 and G5 Plus could feature metal bodies and it will flaunt the Lenovo branding on the side panels. The phones have the physical home button on the front panel which is expected to doubles as the fingerprint scanner. The circular camera module can be seen at the rear panel alongside the legendary MotoM” logo.

The Moto G5 and G5 Plus will offer set of similarities in terms of specifications like full-HD display, Android 7.0 Nougat OS, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, fingerprint scanner at the front, and others. The device memory is expandable via microSD card slot up to 128GB. The phones are expected to come in Fine Gold and Lunar Grey colour options.

Coming to the specifications, the Moto G5 is expected to feature a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. It will come equipped with a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The device will have a 13MP primary rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The handset will draw power from a 2800mAh battery with rapid charging support. It will measure dimensions at 144.3x73x9.5mm and weigh 145 grams.

Secondly, the Moto G5 Plus will offer a slightly larger 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. It will be powered by a 2GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. A 3000mAh battery will juice the device which is enhanced by TurboCharging technology. The cameras on the device will include a 12MP primary rear sensor with dual autofocus feature alongside a 5MP selfie snapper.
