Motorola, a Lenovo owned smartphone company is gearing up to launch another smartphone in India. The company seems to launch the third generation Moto E (expected to be called E3) this time. The smartphone is expected to be priced under Rs. 10,000. Though Motorola haven’t put a word about the launch of Moto E3, the phone was been marked on an Indian import-export listing site Zauba. It indicates that the phone will soon be available in India (possibly in September).
Specifications – Moto E3
According to the listing, a total number of 30 units of Moto E3 were imported for testing in India. Moto E3 will expect to get featured with a 5-inch HD display. It is also speculated that the smartphone will run on an Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with the power of quad-core CPU and 2,800mAh battery. Though Motorola haven’t specified which chipset will be installed in it. It will have an 8MP primary rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera. The connectivity options at Moto E3 include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, dual SIM, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS.
Price
Coming to the pricing, the listing on Zauba displayed a price of Rs. 5,446 for each unit for Motorola phones with Model number XT1706 which is Moto E3. The price mentioned on site is obviously isn’t the final price. It is the price on which the mobiles were imported to the country.
The device is announced in UK last month with a price of 99 pounds, which reflects around Rs. 8,700 in India. While so, the recently launched Moto G4 Play was announced with the price of Rs. 8,900 in India. So to get succeed in India, the company will have to price the phone much lower.
