Meizu has just launched a new smartphone in India called as the Meizu M5. The new handset will be made available exclusively on TataCliq at a price of Rs 10,499 in Champagne Gold and Blue color options. The smartphone has a 13 MP camera, an octa-core processor, and 4G VoLTE support.
To recall, the Meizu M5 was released in October 2016, in China. The device was offered in two variants- 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage model priced at CNY 699 (roughly Rs 6,880). Whereas, the another variant with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage is CNY 899 (roughly Rs 8,900). The company will launch 3GB RAM variant in India
The device features a fingerprint scanner embedded on the Home Button at the front and the company claims that it can recognize fingerprints under 0.2 seconds. Coming to the design, the latest mobile boasts a poly-carbonate body. It has power and volume buttons positioned at the right edge. On the bottom, there are speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a charging port.

Coming to the specifications, the Meizu M5 features a 5.2-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display wrapped under a 2.5D curved glass. Not to mention, the device runs on Android Marshmallow OS powered by Flyme OS 5.5 skin. It is a dual-SIM mobile with hybrid card slot which let users use the second slot as a microSD card. The Meizu M5 come equipped with a MediaTek MT6750 Octa-core processor paired with Mali T860 GPU and 3 GB of RAM.
On the camera front, the Meizu M5 offers a 13 MP primary rear camera with dual-tone LED flash. As a matter of fact, it has a 5 MP selfie snapper with a 4P lens and f/2.0 aperture. The device comes with 3070 mAh battery. It can deliver music playback of up to 66 hours, talk time of up to 37 hours.
The connectivity options on Meizu M5 include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and Wi-Fi. Additionally, sensors on board include magnetometer, accelerometer, infrared, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor. The device measures dimensions at 147.28 x 72.8 x 8 mm and weighs 138 grams.
