The Chinese smartphone maker, Lenovo has allegedly released a new entry-level smartphone called Lenovo Vibe B in India. The launch of Lenovo Vibe B was reported by Mahesh Telecom who is a reputable Mumbai-based retailer. The retailer mentioned that the budget mobile will be priced at Rs 5,799 (probably best buy price).
Mahesh Telecom also mentioned that the Lenovo Vibe B will be available in Matte White and Matte Black colour options. It’s worth mention that the Vibe B smartphone has been listed on Lenovo’s global website; however, the smartphone is yet to be listed on Lenovo India website. As of now, there is no confirmation for the release of Vibe B smartphone in India is received from Lenovo.
Coming to the specifications, the Lenovo Vibe B features a 4.5-inch (480×854 pixels) FWVGA display. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The device is powered by a 1GHz MediaTek MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and external storage up to 32GB via microSD card.
For photography, the Lenovo Vibe B smartphone offers a 5MP primary rear camera with LED flash alongside a 2MP selfie snapper. The handset boasts a 2000mAh battery which is claimed to deliver talk time up to 11.3 hours and standby time of up to 7.3 days. The device comes pre-loaded with productivity and social networking apps such as UC Browser, Twitter, Skype, Evernote, and others.
The connectivity option includes 4G LTE, 3G, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, WLAN, Wi-Fi, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, and micro USB. The device measures dimensions at 132.5x66x9.9mm and weighs 144 grams.
Looking at the price and specifications of Lenovo Vibe B, it will compete with other entry-level smartphones likes of LYF Wind 5 which offers a 5-inch HD (720p) display and an 8MP rear camera for a price of Rs 5,599. Else, you can consider Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus smartphone which offers full-HD (1080p) display with Snapdragon octa-core processor for a price tag of Rs 7,999. Also, Xiaomi Redmi 3S is a good option which offers 4100mAh battery and 13MP primary rear camera.
