The Chinese smartphone maker LeEco might reveal the successor to its Le2 shortly. According to a report by GizChina, LeEco is working on the Le 2s which is expected to be the first smartphone featuring 8GB of RAM on a Snapdragon 821 chipset.
On addition to this, the device will feature a 5.5-inch display along with a 2.5D curved glass panel and is expected to have an internal storage capacity of 64GB. According to GSM Arena, the Le 2s will be launched on September 7.
If the expected Le 2s gets launched in September, then it will be the first smartphone to feature a massive 8GB RAM. There are devices like LeEco Le Max2, OnePlus 3, Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe and more with a 6GB of RAM on their board; but the one with 8GB of RAM is yet to arrive.
However, there is no official word on Le 2s from LeEco yet which indicates that the information spreading online might have seasoned with a pinch of salt. The Le 2s smartphone will get launched first in China and later on it will be available in India too.
LeEco has unveiled its flagship smartphones Le Max2 and the budget mobile phone Le 2 back in June this year in India. The Le 2 smartphone is priced at Rs. 11,999 with a 5.5-inch HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Le 2 has a 16MP primary rear camera while the front-facing camera is of 8MP. The smartphone runs on an Android Marshmallow OS backed with a 3,000mAh battery.
While its flagship device LeEco Le Max2 has a 5.7-inch Quad HD display. The device is equipped with Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB/6GB RAM variants and 32GB/64GB internal storage options. It has a 21MP primary rear camera with an 8MP front-facing camera. The device gets powered backed with a 3,100mAh battery.
