Intex Mobiles recently launched the Intex Aqua 4.0, Aqua Crystal, and Aqua Supreme+ 4G in India and it has now introduced the Aqua Lions 4G. The newly launched smartphone is priced at Rs 5,499. The Intex Aqua Lions 4G is listed on the company’s official website but the availability has not been revealed by the company. It will be made available in Grey and Champagne colour options. Intex seems to be targeting the smartphone for the Indian Premier League (IPL) audience as it features Gujarat Lions-like branding on it.
The Intex Aqua Lions 4G smartphone features a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It boasts a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the handset supports microSD card up to 64GB.
On the camera front, the Intex Aqua Lions 4G offers a 5MP primary rear camera with the flash module. For selfies, it has a 2MP secondary camera at the front. The handset is equipped with a 2000mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 8 hours of talk time along with up to 350 hours of standby time. On the connectivity front, the Intex Aqua Lions 4G includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device measures dimensions at 143.8x72x9.8mm and weighs 146.7 grams.
Looking at the price and specifications, the Intex Aqua Lions 4G will compete against likes of Lava A72 and Reliance Digital LYF Wind 7s. The Lava A72 smartphone features a 5-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The device is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and up to 32GB of external storage via microSD card. For photography, the Lava A72 offers primary rear camera and selfie camera of 5MP resolution with LED flash. The 2500mAh battery completes the package.
Lastly, the Reliance Digital LYF Wind 7s offers a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display. The device comes equipped with a 1.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and up to 128GB of storage via microSD card. On the photography front, the handset offers an 8MP primary rear camera along with a 5MP selfie snapper. The device is powered by a 2250mAh battery.
