Huawei has already confirmed its presence at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017 event in Barcelona. The company has sent out the media invites for its upcoming event that is scheduled on February 26 for the same. Now, the company has released images and video of the event which has confirmed that it will launch the Huawei P10 smartphone during the event. Moreover, Richard Yu who is the Chief executive of Huawei’s consumer business group has confirmed that the Huawei Watch 2 will also be launched alongside.
The Chinese OEM has published numerous image teasers on its social media pages to publicize the launch of Huawei P10 smartphone at the MWC 2017 event. The company has even released a video teaser with a tagline ‘Change the way the world sees you.’ Based on the teasers, the Huawei P10 could feature a dual camera module at the rear and it will be offered in colour options like Gold, Green, and Blue.
The Huawei P10 is rumoured to come with wireless charging support, a fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical home button, and a dual curved screen. Besides these, the Huawei P10 is expected to come in a 5.2-inch display size with QHD (1440×2560 pixels) resolution. The device will be powered by a Kirin 960 octa-core processor paired with Mali G71 GPU, 4GB/6GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The handset is tipped to boast a 3100mAh battery.
For photography, the Huawei P10 will offer 20MP+12MP dual rear sensors with the flash module. Up front, it will have an 8MP selfie snapper. Coming to the Huawei Watch 2, it will come with Android Wear 2.0 system and is tipped to feature built-in SIM card slot for cellular connectivity. The details about the Huawei Watch 2 are limited at the moment.
Interestingly, a past leak came from a Spanish retail site Phone House claimed that the Huawei P10 Plus is also in the making. It is notable that the report was removed from the website which hints the leak was pinched with a salt. Or else, Huawei could launch the Huawei P10 Plus model alongside the P10 smartphone at MWC 2017. The P10 Plus will be a big-screen version of the Huawei P10 and it is expected to come with 8GB of RAM. The leak about Huawei P10 Plus was spotted by GSMArena which got hold of a screenshot of the site. The handset was listed online with a price of 799 Euro (roughly Rs 56,850).
