Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched the Honor Magic smartphone. The company has been teasing its concept phone for the past week and it wrapped off the Honor Magic smartphone recently at an even in China. The smartphone comes with a new design along with numerous outstanding other features.
The Honor Magic is priced at CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs 36,000) in China. The company hasn’t revealed the global availability of the Honor Magic so far. The smartphone features a metal frame design with curved edges. The highlight of the device is its double 3D glass at both front and back panel with tapered edges.
Huawei mobiles has introduced the artificial intelligence chops in Huawei Mate 9 smartphone and the company has put one step ahead with the Honor Magic. The device includes the smart and intelligent AI assistant which is designed to recognize and analyze the user data and come with interactive features. For instance, if you enter a dark room, the smartphone will automatically launch the flashlight so that you can see things. Another interesting feature is the face recognition via the FaceCode Intelligent Recognition technology. Using this, no other will be able to see your notifications as the smartphone will only let you see those.
Coming to the specifications of the Honor Magic, it features a 5.09-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) AMOLED display with 577ppi. The device is equipped with a 2.3GHz Huawei’s Kirin 950 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
For photography, the Honor Magic offers a 12MP dual rear camera setup with an RGB and a monochrome sensor. Up front, there is an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calling. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Honor’s UI on top.
The Dual-SIM mobile comes with a 2900mAh battery with fast charging support. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The Honor Magic measures dimensions at 146.1×69.9×7.8mm and weighs 145 grams. The power and volume buttons are positioned on the right side of the device, whereas the 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB port, dual-SIM tray, and speaker grille are positioned at the bottom. On the front panel, there is a home button which doubles as a fingerprint scanner.
