Recently, an upcoming mobile, Blackberry Mercury was been spotted on GeekBench with a model number BBB100-1. Now, the same device has appeared on GFXBench. The alleged Blackberry Mercury seems like a mid-range smartphone based on its leaked specifications.
According to the GFXBench listing, a Blackberry BBB100-1 device has listed with a 12.1-inch display featuring 1080×1620 pixels resolution. However, the rumors about the Blackberry Mercury are indicating it a 4.5-inched smartphone with a physical keyboard rather than a 12.1-inch tablet.
A WinFuture’s report has included an image of Blackberry Mercury which also points towards a 4.5-inch display with a physical keyboard. As per the leaked image from Blackberry Italia, the upcoming device will be a fingerprint scanner smartphone, where the biometric sensor will be integrated at the space-button of the physical QWERTY keyboard on Blackberry Mercury.
As per the listing, the upcoming mobile, Blackberry Mercury will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.02GHz coupled with Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The upcoming mobile will run on latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
For photography, the Blackberry Mercury offers a 12MP primary rear camera with a LED flash. On the front panel, there is an 8MP selfie shooter. Besides, it has connectivity options such as Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, and NFC. Sensors on board will comprise of light sensor, compass, accelerometer, proximity, pedometer, gyroscope, and barometer.
Blackberry had introduced its first Android smartphone called as Blackberry Priv back in October 2015 and later Blackberry DTEK50 was also roll out. A third Android smartphone named as the Blackberry DTEK60 is all set to get launched in the US market and the pre-orders for the same is already started.
The Blackberry DTEK60 was been accidently published on company’s own website before its official announcement. And now, the upcoming mobile is available for pre-orders in the US market for a price of $499.99 (roughly Rs. 33,500).
The Blackberry DTEK60 smartphone will flaunt a 5.5-inch qHD AMOLED display. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone offers a 21MP primary rear camera with dual LED flash and PDAF. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and is receives juice from a 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology.
