The Taiwanese tech giant, Asus has recently unveiled it’s ZenPad 3S 10 at their pre-IFA 2016 Zenvolution event in Berlin. The newly launched 9.7-inch tablet is loaded with 4GB of RAM and Android Marshmallow operating system. The device will face competition with Apple’s iPad. The availability of the tablet has not provided by the company as of now, but the device will be available at a price of EUR 379 (roughly Rs. 28,300).
The Asus ZenPad 3S 10 comes with a 9.7-inch QXGA display with 1538×2048 pixels resolution. The display has an IPS panel for extensive and rich viewing angles. The display supports 10 multi-touch and active stylus. The display also features an anti-fingerprint coating thanks to its lamination.
The Asus ZenPad 3S 10 is equipped with MediaTek MT8176 hexacore processor which includes two cores of Cortex A72 and four cores of Cortex A53. The tablet has 4GB of RAM along with 32GB and 64GB storage options. The storage can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The company is offering Asus Webstorage of 5GB space for a lifetime along with the product. Furthermore, there is also an option of Google Drive space of 100GB for two years.
The ZenPad 3S 10 features an 8MP primary rear camera. A 5MP front-facing selfie camera is also present on the front panel. Both cameras have claimed to support 1080p video recording capabilities. The tablet has dual speaker setup with Asus’s Sonic Master technology and DTS-HD sound standard. Furthermore, the tablet is also capable of Hi-resolution audio playback. Besides its power packed specifications, the tablet manages to feature incredibly thin body at 5.8mm and weighs 430 grams. The tablet has integrated fingerprint scanner on its Home button. Also, it has e-compass and ambient light sensor on its board. The device is backed by a 5900mAh battery which is claimed to deliver battery life of up to 10 hours. The device also supports Quick Charge 3.0.
The Asus ZenPad 3S 10 runs on Android Marshmallow OS which requires support for tablet-oriented applications. Hence the company will probably update the device to Android 7.0 Nougat soon.
