Apple iPad 9.7 tablet is now available for pre-order on the leading e-commerce website, Flipkart. The smartphone will be released on April 14 on the online store. The e-tail store listing is showing two models- one with Wi-Fi only + 32GB internal storage priced at Rs 28,900 and the other with Wi-Fi + Cellular Connectivity + 32GB variant for a price of Rs 39,900.
The new Apple iPad 9.7 will be made available in Gold, Silver, and Space Gray colour models. The biggest highlight of the new device is its price as it is considered as the cheapest iPad from ever offered from the company in India.

The iPad 9.7 with new 64-bit A9 chipset replaces the iPad Air 2 tablet. Besides, the most of the specs of the new iPad are identical to the iPad Air 2 tablet. The latest tablet, Apple iPad 9.7 features a 9.7-inch LED IPS retina display with 2048×1536 pixels resolution with 264ppi pixel density. The display is protected against fingerprints by an oleophobic coating. Like what mentioned before, the new iPad boasts Apple’s 64-bit A9 chipset. The A9 chip was first seen on Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s Plus.

On the camera front, the device offers an 8MP primary rear camera with f/2.4 aperture, HDR, panorama, and autofocus features. Also, the tablet’s camera comes with other controls such as tap to focus, burst mode, and exposure control, to name a few. It can also record full-HD videos with 1080p resolution at 30fps and slow-mo video at 120fps.
Secondly, there is a 1.2MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling with a f/2.2 aperture which can handle video recording up to 720p resolution. The connectivity option on both the device comprises Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Additionally, the Wi-Fi + LTE variant supports Apple SIM (Nano SIM), Data calling, and all key LTE bands. The tablets measure dimensions at 9.4×6.6×0.29mm. The weight of Wi-Fi only model is 469 grams, whereas the Wi-Fi and LTE model weighs 478 grams.
As always, the details about the battery capacity and other internal configuration is not revealed by the company. However, the company claims to deliver up to 10 hours of backup on single charge cycle. The Apple iPad 9.7 runs on iOS 10 and features a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
