All You Need to Know about Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 and Book 2-in-1

Samsung has recently added two latest tablets in its portfolio called as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 and the Samsung Galaxy Book this year at the MWC 2017 event. Both the tablets are compatible and come with the S Pen stylus. Moreover, the devices support Pogo Keyboard Covers which turns the device into 2-in-1 tablet hybrid. The Galaxy Book runs on Windows 10 and has Pogo Keyboard cover in the box, while the Galaxy Tab S3 comes with Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is the latest Samsung tablet featuring a 9.7-inch QXGA (1536×2048 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and up to 256GB of external storage via microSD card.

On the camera front, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 offers a 13MP primary rear camera with 4K video recording and flash. Up front, there is a 5MP selfie snapper. The Galaxy Tab S3 will be offered in Wi-Fi only and LTE variants. The other connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi, GPS, USB Type-C port, 2×2 MIMO, and Bluetooth. The tablet measures dimensions at 237.3x169x6mm and weighs 434 grams for LTE model and 429 grams for Wi-Fi only model. The sensors onboard include a gyroscope, accelerometer, RGB sensor, fingerprint sensor, and geometric sensor.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Book 2-in-1 hybrid tablet is the first device to run on Windows operating system with support for the S Pen Stylus. Samsung has offered the tablet in two screen size variants- a 10.6-inch and a 12-inch. Both the tablets have dissimilarities in terms of specifications. The Galaxy Book 10.6-inch model features a full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) TFT display, whereas the 12-inch model utilises a full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 10.6-inch is powered by a 2.6GHz dual-core 7th Generation Intel Core m3 CPU paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of inbuilt storage. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Book 12-inch model comes equipped with a 3.1GHz dual-core 7th Generation Intel Core i5 CPU coupled with 4GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 10.6-inch offers a 5MP fixed focus webcam, whereas the 12-inch model offers a 13MP autofocus primary rear camera alongside a 5MP front facing webcam. Both the devices come with USB Type-C connectivity.

The 10.6-inch model is packed with a 30.4WHr battery and measures dimensions at 261.2×179.1×8.9mm. The 10.6-inch variant with Wi-Fi connectivity weighs 640 grams, while the LTE variant weighs 650 grams. The 12-inch model is powered by a 39.04WHr battery. The device measures dimensions at 291.2×179.1×8.9mm and weighs 754 grams.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Book models come with expandable storage option up to 256GB via microSD card. The connectivity option on the hybrid tablet includes Wi-Fi with 2×2 MIMO, GPS, and Bluetooth. The sensors on board include an accelerometer and ambient light sensor.
