The Motorola Xoom is a 10 inch Android tablet running Android Honeycomb 3.0 OS. The Xoom is the first Android Honeycomb 3.0 tablet to hit the market, which also makes it the first tablet to ship with a tablet optimised OS. The most noticeable deviance in the Xoom, compared to other Android devices is the absence of physical Menu, Home, Back and Search buttons. These are replaced by auto-orientating soft menu buttons. The Xoom packs a Proximity Sensor for auto-turn off, Ambient light sensor for auto-brightness adjust, an accelerometer for auto-orientation and a Gyroscope for a richer gaming experience.
