16th May, 2017 Sony has been among the more prolific smartphone manufacturers over the past few years. Throughout 2016, the Japanese manufacturer unveiled seven new smartphones, and at MWC this year, it introduced four more handsets. The top device in the latter bunch was the XZ premium.With the XZ Premium, Sony promises unparalleled experience thanks to its revolutionary camera tech, excellent 5.5-inch 4K display and Qualcomm's latest silicon – the Snapdragon 835.The Xperia XZ Premium is a very good phone. We can't really complain from lack of power, design or camera performance. However, at the end of the day, it has a very solid competition to beat. Other manufacturers are betting on new aspect ratios, smaller bezels, and dual cameras, and it seems that Sony is the only one staying true to its own formula for now.
In fact, it now offers the same blazing fast performance as its competitors, thanks to the Snapdragon 835 and some pretty well-optimized software (actually, that's better hardware than what we have in the G6).If you're still not ready to give up the 9:16 aspect ratio, and you're looking for a solid device to invest in, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium can and should be one to consider seriously.

2nd June, 2017 The Sony Xperia XZ Premium was first released at MWC 2017. Despite its top-end Snapdragon 835 processor, another key feature of the smartphone is its camera. The handset offers a 19MP Motion Eye Camera featuring a 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS memory stacked sensor. Furthermore, it has a 1.22-micron pixel sensor, a 25mm f/2.0 lens, and supports predictive hybrid autofocus and predictive capture.the Sony Xperia XZ Premium offers a 13MP Exmor RS sensor of 1/3.06-inch paired with a 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens. Both the cameras come with SteadyShot technology which includes 5-axis stabilization. The device also comes with an IP65/68 rating which ensures dust and water resistance. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both front and rear panel of the device.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a 5.5-inch 4K (2160×3840 pixels) HDR Triluminos display. The display sports an X-Reality for Mobile display engine and has an RGB 138 percent spectrum. It is a dual-SIM mobile running on Android 7.1 Nougat OS. The device boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and external storage up to 256GB via microSD card. It has a 3230mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support!

The showstopper - Sony Xperia XZ Premium review
12th May, 2017 Build quality is superb but all color versions are prone to collecting smudges easily. The second-gen 4K display is class-leading with unbelievable 806 ppi density, HDR videos are a bit less convincing at this point because regular 4k videos look really good as well. The maximum brightness is around the XZs's and Z5 Premium's. The contrast is very good. Color accuracy and sunlight legibility are not amazing but they're showing improvement.Solid battery life.
The Xperia XZ Premium is among the most powerful smartphones today. Excellent audio quality on an external amp with average loudness. Unfortunately, loudness is less than stellar with headphones.The primary camera produces detailed photos, has improved corner sharpness, and very good colors, contrast, and dynamic range. There is no OIS to help in low light shooting.4K video looks great, 1080p likewise. The 960fps slow-mo HD video recording holds a lot of potential but capturing the moment takes practice and is hit-and-miss when you only have ~0.2 sec to work with - less than a split second of the real-life actions gets slowed down.The 13MP AF front facing camera is a boon for selfie addicts - plenty of detail, good dynamic range, just keep the subjects well lit and be mindful of the always-on skin smoothing.
