Xiaomi launched its first Mi TV 4 line up in China. After seeing its success in the Chinese markets, the company also stepped into the Indian television market. And just days after the launch of Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone, Mi Mix 2S, the company has launched its latest 55-inch Xiaomi Mi TV 4S in China.
Some of the interesting features on the latest Xiaomi TV are a 4K HDR display, PatchWall, Dolby audio, AI voice remote and much more. Xiaomi had promised a new variant of the Mi TV 4A in China this month. However, the latest Mi TV 4S comes with enhanced features and a larger screen.
Furthermore, Xiaomi Mi TV 4S comes with a price tag of CNY 2,999 (approximately Rs. 31,000) in China. The TV will start shipping from April 3. However, interested buyers can start pre-order this TV. There is still no official announcement or clarity whether this TV will launch in other markets, including India. Xiaomi Mi TV 4S: Features
The TV features a premium metal frame design. It measures 123.6×77.6×71.6cm and weighs around 13.5kg excluding the base. Mi TV 4S comes with a 55-inch IPS LCD panel with 4K HDR display and a screen resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. The IPS LCD panel sports 60Hz refresh rate, 178-degree viewing angle, direct backlighting and 8ms response time.
Mi TV 4S is powered by a 1.5GHz 64-bit quad-core Amlogic Cortex-A53 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It features 750MHz Mali 450 GPU and a storage space of 8GB. Connectivity options on the TV include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.2 + LE, HDMI port, AV port, USB port and analogue signal DTMB.
Additionally, for sound, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4S comes with two 8W stereo speakers with support for Dolby and DTS enhancements. Moreover, the AI voice remote is connected to the TV via Bluetooth. The remote features a built-in microphone which allows voice control support.
Users can give commands like “fast forward to 42 minutes and 20 seconds” or “shut down after 15 minutes” using the voice control support without pressing any button. An additional benefit of this remote is that it can be used to give voice commands to other Xiaomi smart devices in your house. As for the software, Xiaomi has used the same PatchWall that we have seen in the previous TVs.
