Xiaomi has recently confirmed that it will release its Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship officially on April 19. The company is expected to launch Mi 6 Plus alongside the Mi 6 at the event. Now, several reports are claiming that the Chinese handset maker is working on the successor of last year’s Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The upcoming mobile will be called as Xiaomi Mi Note 3 which is likely to be launched in the second quarter of this year.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has been leaked online in China which provided key details about the alleged smartphone. According to the leak, the Mi Note 3 will feature a similar curved display as of the Mi Note 2. It is expected to feature a 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display. The device is expected to be equipped with a powerful 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor. Another highlight of the upcoming mobile will be its 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage.
Xiaomi Mi Note 3: Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is believed to come with a dual rear camera module, though the details about the camera resolution are not received yet. A 4070mAh battery will juice up the device. Coming to the price, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is said to be the most powerful smartphone of 2017 from the company and it will be priced around $750 (roughly Rs 48,200).

To recall, the last year’s Xiaomi Mi Note 2 have featured a 5.7-inch OLED flexible display with curved edges and a 77.2 percent of screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.35GHz. Furthermore, the graphics on the device is handled by Adreno 530 GPU. The Mi Note 2 is offered in two variants- 4GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 offers a 22.56MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX318 Exmor RS Sensor, PDAF, 3-axis gyroscope for 4K video stabilisation, f/2.0 aperture, and EIS. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Additionally, it has features like group selfies and Auto Beautify 3.0 for better selfie experience.
Moreover, the Mi Note 2 is powered by a 4070mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. On the connectivity front, the device packs Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE speeds up to 6000mbps, NFC, and Mi Pay. Lastly, it features Aquatic Audio processor for excellent audio output from the speakers and headphones.
Last year's Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was the powerhouse of smartphones. Some techies called it as the poor man's Samsung Galaxy Note 7 as the device offered beast specifications at an affordable price.
