Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphone – Mi 9 is being rumoured to make its debut next month. The smartphone has been teased on Weibo by the Xiaomi President Lin Bin and CEO Lei Jun with the model number “9120”. Even the director of the company Tang Weng Thomas teased the Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone on social media. Additionally, the smartphone also appeared on a Chinese 3C certification website.
The listing on the website reveals that the smartphone has two model numbers – M1902F1A and M1902F1T. Moreover, it has also been revealed that the Mi 9 smartphone will be one of the fast charging mobile phones to support 27W fast charging. The phone will come with a ‘MDY-08-ES’ charger which offers maximum charging speeds.
Furthermore, CEO Lei Jun had already hinted towards a flagship smartphone with charging speed more than 24W. It was later rumoured that the Xiaomi Mi 9 will come support 32W fast charging. However, looking at the certification, it has now been confirmed that the smartphone will come with 27W charging. Apart from this, no other feature or specification of the smartphone has been disclosed.
Xiaomi Mi 9: Rumours
A report states that the Mi 9 smartphone will most likely make its launch next month on February 19. This is mainly because the CEO and president of Xiaomi have been teasing the number ‘9102’ which could be a hint at the launch date. While this might not be true, it is safe to admit that this could be a major hint as to the launch date of the smartphone.
Additionally, leaked images of the Xiaomi Mi 9 have shown that the smartphone could be one of the triple camera mobile phones. The smartphone has a triple rear camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It has also been speculated that the smartphone will run on the upcoming Snapdragon 855 processor and will sport 6GB RAM coupled with 128GB internal storage. Whether these rumours are true or not can only be confirmed after we get an official announcement.
