The Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, Mukesh Ambani has announced the Jio 4G tariff plans which have set a mobile tariff war among telecom firms. Ever since Reliance Jio has brought Jio Preview Offer which offers unlimited 4G LTE data, voice calls, SMSs and Jio services for 3 months, the other telecom firms like Airtel, Idea Cellular, and Vodafone have slashed their 3G as well as 4G data rates by up to 80%.
Previously, rumors about Reliance Jio tariffs starting from Rs. 50 for 10GB 4G data pressurized the entire telecom industry. As the official Jio tariffs have been announced, now we can compare the data tariffs of major telecom firms of the country.

Reliance Jio’s tariff plans seem quite lucrative on overall terms. While the network connectivity and speed also matter. Reliance Jio is still testing its network for optimization and offering peak speed of 80-90 mbps on 4G networks for 4G mobile phones while Airtel is claiming to deliver download speed of 135 mbps on 4G network.
Though, Reliance Jio has the potential to grab a wide base of users as the company is offering Jio Preview Offer with major smartphone vendors.
