Vivo mobiles has launched a new 4G VoLTE mobile in India named as Y55L. The smartphone is priced at Rs 11,980. The smartphone was first spotted on a Chinese certification site, TENNA last month alongside the other two variants- Vivo Y55 and Vivo Y55N. All these smartphones were listed with similar features on the TENNA site, while a variant was limited to Chinese wireless carriers.
The latest mobile Vivo Y55L features a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with 2.5D glass on the top. The device is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 1.4GHz octa-core processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. The external storage includes 128GB of space. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with FunTouch OS 2.6 on top.
The latest mobile has dual-SIM with 4G VoLTE support. For photography, there is an 8MP primary rear camera with LED flash and autofocus. The secondary camera includes a 5MP fixed-focus sensor for selfies.
The Vivo Y55L offers a smart screen flash function which flashes the screen with full brightness for capturing bright and clear selfies. The device has a dedicated SIM card slots. For multitasking, the device allows a split-screen feature. The mobile has an all-metal unibody design.
Also, a unique eye protection mode is provided on the device which ensures the comfort of user’s eyes as it optimizes the brightness of the screen by reducing the blue light.
The latest mobile Vivo Y55L is backed by a 2650mAh non-removable battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, GPS, micro-USB port, Wi-Fi, GLONASS, Bluetooth, and OTG support. The device measure dimensions at 147.9×72.9×7.5mm and weighs 142 grams.
The Vivo Y55L will be available for purchase in offline stores starting from October 15 in Gold and Grey color options. While most of the Chinese smartphone makers are selling their products in India via online flash sale models, Vivo has released its latest mobile in the offline model.
Though the smartphone doesn’t have powerful specifications while compared with other latest mobiles in the segment, Vivo Y55L might receive success due to its offline only model. Similarily, Xiaomi mobiles had launched its latest mobile, the Redmi 3S Plus in Indian offline market.
