Vivo has added a new smartphone in its Y-series of smartphones. The newly launched 4G smartphone is called as the Vivo Y25. The handset is priced at RM 499 (roughly Rs 7,500) in Malaysia. The phone features the combination of Grey and white colours on the body.
The Vivo Y25 smartphone features a 4.5-inch (480×854 pixels) FWGA display. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MTK6580 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and up to 128GB of external storage via microSD card. It runs on an older version of Android 5.1 Lollipop OS powered by Funtouch OS 2.1.
The Vivo Y25 offers a 5MP primary rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP secondary front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The handset is powered by a 1900mAh battery. The camera on the device comes with special camera modes such as Palm Capture, Voice Capture, Normal, HDR, Panorama, Watermark, and Children mode.
The connectivity option includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, microSD card, microUSB, and Bluetooth. The sensor onboard includes an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and photosensitive sensor. The device measures dimensions at 130.7×66.4×9.2mm.
Besides, the Vivo Y25 comes with additional features like Smart Click, Smart Wake, Voice Capture, and Palm Capture feature. The Smart Click feature allow users to customise the apps or features which could appear on the locked screen for quick access. The Smart Wake feature could let you unlock the phone on the particular app with a single finger swipe pattern. Users can customise the wake function with commands such as camera, social media, music, browser, and more.
The Voice Capture feature allow the user to control the device by voice commands. For instance, you can take selfies just by saying commands like ‘cheese’ on Vivo Y25. Lastly, the Palm Capture feature let users capture pictures by waving the hand on the device.
The Vivo Y25 is launched in Malaysia; however, its launch detail in India is scarce at the moment. If launched in India, the Vivo Y25 will compete with the other budget mobiles like Micromax Canvas Nitro A310, Samsung Galaxy J2, Lenovo Vibe K5, Xolo Era 2X, and Panasonic Eluga Turbo to name a few.
