Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Vivo has added yet another smartphone Vivo Y21L in its product lineup in India at a price of Rs. 7,490. The budget smartphone from Vivo offers a 4.5-inch display, Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage along with the 4G VoLTE support. Recently Vivo has entered into a 3G and 4G Chinese Patent Licence Agreement with Qualcomm.
The Vivo Y21L sports a 4.5-inch display (480×854 pixels resolution). The smartphone runs on an Android 5.1 Lollipop OS having Funtouch OS 2.5 on its top. The device features a Snapdragon 410 1.2GHz processor from Qualcomm coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. The storage capacity of a smartphone can further be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card.
On the camera front, the smartphone has a primary rear camera of 5-megapixel resolution while a 2-megapixel front-facing camera is featured in this device with Palm Capture and Voice Capture capabilities. The company claims that the Palm feature helps users capturing sharper, detailed, and bright images while the Voice capture feature enables the user to click pictures by saying the word “Cheese”.
Also, there are Smart Wake and Smart Click features which allow gesture shortcuts and add customized features on volume key respectively. The Smart Click is a quite interesting feature as it allows the user to customize the interface and apps by using volume keys. While the Smart Wake feature can let you access apps like ‘Facebook’ or say ‘Music’ just by swiping ‘F’ and ‘M’ respectively.
The device offers connectivity options like 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth, USB OTG and microUSB support. The device is backed by a 2000mAh battery. The dimension for Vivo Y21L is at 130.7×66.4×9.2mm. The device weighs at 145 grams. The sensor on board comprises accelerometer, magnetometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.
