After the launch of Cube 3 smartphone last month, Videocon mobiles have now announced a new smartphone in India, named at the Ultra50. The latest mobile is priced at Rs 8,990 and it will be available both on offline and online platforms starting from the first week of November.
The key highlights of the Videocon Ultra50 are its 4G VoLTE compatibility, 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash, fingerprint sensor, and dual-SIM support. Furthermore, the smartphone has a pre-loaded ‘SOS-BE Safe’ app which is an emergency trigger app which can be used in case of emergencies. To trigger the emergency response, the users have to press the power button several times which works as a panic button and sends an alert to the pre-saved emergency numbers by the user.
The Videocon Ultra50 sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with DragonTrail Glass Protection. The latest mobile is equipped with a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with a 3GB RAM and Mali T720 GPU. It offers a 32GB of onboard storage which could further stretch up to 64GB via microSD card.
For photography, the Videocon Ultra50 offers a 13MP primary rear camera with dual LED flash and PDAF. On the front, it has a 5MP selfie snapper with LED flash. The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The latest mobile has a dual WhatsApp feature which enables the users to have two different WhasApp accounts simultaneously on the same device. Also, the Smartphone supports the gesture-based navigation to perform a variety of functions, such as drawing ‘M’ for music, ‘O’ for a flashlight, ‘C’ for camera and others.
The Videocon Ultra50 packs a 3000mAh battery which is claimed to deliver talk time up to 8 hours and standby time of 350 hours. The device measures dimensions at 148.1×72.8×11.27mm. The connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, FM Radio, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Sensors on the board include proximity, light, and G-sensor.
The Videocon Ultra50 smartphone also comes with a set of pre-loaded apps which include Office Suite, Opera Mini, EROS Now, SBI Buddy to name a few. The EROS Now app on the smartphone has a free 1-year membership.
