Sony is here with a new range of products from the audio segment in India. Not just one or two, but the company is here with six wireless headphones and three Bluetooth speakers. What’s interesting about this new line up is that the six wireless headphones are splash proof and come with noise cancellation technology. Likewise, this new range of audio products comes under an affordable range and is specially designed for youngsters.
Coming to the products, the range of headphones includes WF-SP700N, WI-SP600N, WI-SP500, Wi-C300, WH-CH400 and WH-CH500. All of these headphones fall under the company’s Extra Bass range and support Bluetooth and NFC connectivity. Moreover, as for the speakers, the range includes SRS-XB41, SRS-XB31 and SRS-XB21. Additionally, these speakers come with an IP67 rating which makes them dust and water resistant.
WF-SP700N Wireless Headphones: Specifications & Price
The first on the list is WF-SP700N. It is believed to be the first active noise cancellation earphone in the world with a splash-proof design. Along with the IPX4 rating that makes it splash proof, the earphone comes with a charging case which can charge the earphones twice. Additionally, the earphone also features support for Google Assistant via a software update.
Also, the earphone is capable of filtering surrounding noise to produce Ambient Sound. The WF-SP700N earphone will come with a price tag of Rs. 12,990 and will be available in Black and Yellow colour variants. It will be available in the India markets starting May 15. The speaker will compete against Bose’s SoundSport Free and Apple AirPods.
WI-SP600N Wireless Headphones: Specifications & Price
This earphone comes with a standard neckband design and also supports noise cancellation. Other features on the earphone include splash proof design, 6 hours of battery life and support for Google Assistant. It is priced at Rs. 9,990 and will be available in a Black colour variant. Similarly, this earphone will also be available starting May 15.
WI-SP500 Wireless Headphones: Specifications & Price
The next earphone on the list called WI-SP500 also sports a conventional neckband design. Along with 13.5mm drivers, the earphone is capable of producing clean and ambient sound. The company claims that the earphone can deliver a battery life of up to 8 hours. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 4,990 and is currently available in various online stores.
Furthermore, the other earphones- WH-CH500, WH-CH400 and WI-C300 also feature support for Google Assistant. Among these, the WH-CH400 and WH-CH500 are over-the-ear wireless headphones. These headphones are claimed to deliver a battery life of up to 20 hours. On the other hand, the WI-C300 in-ear headphone can deliver a battery life of up to 8 hours. Wi-C300 is priced at Rs. 2,990, WH-CH500 is priced at Rs. 4,990 and the WH-CH400 is priced at Rs. 3,790.
Sony Bluetooth Speakers: Specifications & Price
Like previously mentioned above, Sony’s new range of Bluetooth speakers is dust and water resistant, rustproof and washable. All three speakers come with a fabric finish which makes the sound more natural. Genres like EDM and hip-hop are best suited on these speakers as they can deliver deep and resounding bass.
Additionally, the key highlight of these speakers is that it can recognize taps from 5 different directions to generate sound and light. The SRS-XB21 speaker is claimed to last for 12 hours on a single charge. It is priced at Rs. 7,990. Similarly, the SRS-XB41 and SRS-XB31 can last for 24 hours on a single charge and are priced at Rs. 13,990 and Rs. 9,990 respectively.
