Samsung has launched its cheapest 4G smartphone Z2 with a 4-inch display on August 23 in India at a price tag of Rs. 4,590. The Samsung Z2 is the Tizen-based smartphone similar to the Z1 and Z3 in its series. The smartphone will come in Black, Gold, and Wine Red color options from August 29, 2016, via Paytm and offline retail stores.
The phone is featured with Reliance Jio 4G preview offer for 90 days. This offer includes unlimited HD voice calls, unlimited high speed data and unlimited access for Reliance Jio Suite including apps like Jio Drive, Jio Play, Jio Money, Jio Music, and Jio Security.
A Glimpse at the Specs
Samsung Z2 sports a 4-inch 800×480 LCD display with a 5MP primary rear camera along with a VGA front camera. The phone runs on latest Tizen operation system powered with 1.5 GHz processor accompanied with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage. The device comes with 4G LTE and will feature the Ultra Data Saving Mode (UDSM). The phone is backed with 1,500mAh battery. Z2 has an S Bike mode considering the safety of its user while driving two-wheeler and also My Money Transfer App to manage transactions.
The connectivity option includes LTE, GLONASS, GPS, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
The Samsung Z2 is the fourth smartphone which is built on Tizen system. Previously, Samsung Z, Z1, and Z3 has launched in the series. Talking about the previous Z1, it had 3.1MP primary rear camera, 4-inch display, RAM of 768MB backed with a 1500mAh battery. The Z1 was launched in January 2015 with 3G support priced at Rs. 5,700. While Z3 launched in October 2015 which came with 5-inch HD 720×1280 touchscreen display at a price of Rs. 8,490. Z3 had 1GB of RAM coupled with 1.3 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SoC and 8GB of internal storage. Samsung Z3 was 3G enabled smartphone.
Considering this, Samsung Z2 is the cheapest 4G smartphone in India from the tech giant like Samsung. The newly launched Samsung Z2 will definitely face the strong competition of Intex Cloud Fame and Reliance Lyf Flame8 to name a few.
