Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to go on Sale in India by September End: Report

The Korean OEM, Samsung has recently recalled its latest flagship Galaxy Note 7 device after the battery explosion of almost three dozen devices in the overseas market. The company will reportedly begin its sale and deliveries by the end of September, as per a report published on TOI. To make up the deal, Samsung is likely to offer freebies of nearly $100 (roughly Rs. 6500) for their customers.

The global recall of Galaxy Note 7 devices has been started from Friday, September 2, keeping consumer safety in mind.

According to a report, Samsung is considering to include free accessories along with the purchase of Galaxy Note 7. The freebies include accessory of Rs. 1,500, Virtual Reality (VR) headset worth Rs. 1,990, and complimentary VR digital content worth Rs. 3,000.

The latest generation of Apple iPhone 7 is already gearing up for its launch. While Samsung is still recovering from the Note 7’s battery issue, as it has caused severe damages to its brand. By offering free benefits with Galaxy Note 7, Samsung wants to generate a buzz around the brand. The company is expecting recovery from the initial hold up through their new initiatives.

Samsung had officially launched the Galaxy Note 7 in India on August 11, with pre-bookings of around 20,000 devices. The company had informed the customers about the delay in delivery of their product. The Galaxy Note 7’s exploding issue has arrived due to a battery fault. The challenging battery issue is apparently detected to be only in 0.1 percent of the total units sold. Samsung claimed that the customer safety is their top priority and hence the countermeasures have been taken.

In India, Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone with dual SIM variant at a price of Rs. 59,900.
