Oppo to Launch First Smartphone under New Sub-Brand Reno on April 10

Oppo introduced its first sub-brand called Realme last year. Realme mobile phones became an instant hit in the budget segment. Recently, Oppo’s Vice President Shen Yiren revealed that the company will soon introduce its next sub-brand called Oppo Reno. For the first look, Oppo has revealed the logo of its sub-brand which is colourful and seems to be youth-centric. Additionally, it has also been revealed that the first Oppo Reno smartphone will make its debut on April 10, 2019, in China. Apart from this, no other details have been revealed about the sub-brand or its first-ever smartphone.

A couple of weeks back, Oppo made it clear that it is working on a new smartphone that will make its debut sometime in April. Back then, the company did not give any insight as to which smartphone it was working on. If rumours are true, then this unnamed phone could be the upcoming Reno-branded smartphone.

Oppo Reno Smartphone: What to Expect

On the design end, we can expect a different design compared to what we see on Oppo mobile phones. Additionally, Oppo’s Vice President Shen Yiren had disclosed that the company was working on a smartphone running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. Furthermore, for photography, the smartphone will most likely feature the most talked about Oppo’s 10x optical zoom technology. If this stands true, then the Oppo Reno smartphone will truly be one of the good camera mobile phones.

Big battery mobile phones are a common trend with such powerful specifications. For its power, the smartphone will be backed by a powerful 4065mAh battery. However, it is unclear whether or not if the smartphone will support fast charging technology. The smartphone will also get a 3.5mm headphone jack. As for the official name and the detailed specifications of the smartphone, we will have to wait for the official launch date to get an insight.
