ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia has received a new member in its Z-series of the smartphone. The new phone is dubbed as Nubia Z18 Mini. It flaunts a tall display and has a dual camera setup. The smartphone comes with a built-in AI assistant called NeoSmart AI. The Z18 Mini is currently launched in China with prices starting at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs 18,500).
The Nubia Z18 Mini will be offered in Light Blue, White, Black, Pink, and Purple colour options. The 64GB internal storage variant will cost CNY 1,799, whereas the 128GB storage model will cost CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs 21,700).
Furthermore, there is a special edition variant of the device is released in China dubbed as ‘Limited Provence Edition’ which can be purchased for CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs 22,800). Presently, the company haven’t put a word on the global launch of the new ZTE smartphone. We expect to hear the announcement of the Z18 Mini India launch soon.
Nubia Z18 Mini: Specifications
The new Nubia smartphone features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The design offered on the Z18 Mini handset is quite impressive. There is a glass sandwich body which includes aluminium frame wrapped with a Corning Gorilla Glass.
The Nubia Z18 Mini smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. As mentioned before, the phone has AI assistant pre-loaded on it. It is called as NeoSmart AI and there is a dedicated voice button to trigger the assistant.
Moreover, the handset supports face unlock feature and also has a dedicated fingerprint scanner at the rear. On the camera department, the Z18 Mini has a dual camera setup including 24MP + 5MP sensors at the rear. This setup is ideal for capturing photographs with bokeh effect. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter with 80-degree wide-angle field of view and f/2.0 aperture.
The connectivity options on the handset include 4G, dual-SIM card slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, as well as BeiDou Navigation. The phone runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo operating system powered by NeoVision 7.0 UI.
Last month, the company unveiled a smartphone called Nubia V18 in China. The phone brags a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, 6.01-inch display, and dual rear camera setup. The handset is expected to get launched in India soon.
