As Nokia is gearing for its return in the smartphone market, the rumors about its upcoming mobiles have been surfacing the internet from past few months. The company has entered into a partnership with HMD Global which will manufacture the mobiles and other products under Nokia-branding. The new Nokia mobiles are expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2017.
According to the latest leaks from China, Nokia may be developing a new Android mobile named as the Nokia P. As per the leaked specifications and images of the upcoming Nokia P smartphone, will feature 6GB of RAM and come with Snapdragon 835 SoC. The device is expected to offer a 23MP primary rear camera powered by Carl Zeiss optics. It will flaunt a 5.4-inch Quad HD display. The leaks might have come with a pinch of salt as the company hasn’t confirmed any of these specifications yet.
The Nokia P seems to come with a metal body with an anodized finish. The typical Nokia-branding can be seen on the rear panel of the smartphone. It resembles with the HTC’s typical design. Up front, there is no physical key on the device, so it’s difficult to guess whether it has a fingerprint scanner or not. On the sides, there are volume rocker and power button.
On the other hand, the Nokia D1C is also around the corner to enter the smartphone market. The Nokia D1C could be the first Nokia smartphone to get launched after the HMD and Nokia alliance. It is expected to get revealed at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017.
The Nokia D1C is expected to come in two variants- 2GB RAM priced at $150 (roughly Rs 10,000) and 3GB RAM model priced at $200 (roughly Rs 13,000). It will be equipped with a Snapdragon 430 processor, Adreno 505 GPU and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The device is also expected to come in 5- and 5.5-inch variants.
Another smartphone named as Nokia C1 also appears on the internet. The C1 smartphone is expected to come with a 5-inch full HD display powered by a Snapdragon 830 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB/64GB/128GB storage variants. It will offer dual camera setup at the rear panel with 12MP and 16MP sensors. The device will get power from a 3210mAh battery.
