HMD Global is expected to launch the next generation of Nokia smartphones. The company is likely to launch the Nokia 2, Nokia 7, and the Nokia 9 smartphones in early 2018. Last week, a few image renders and a 3D render video of Nokia 9 appeared online. Now, a concept video of Nokia 9 has been released by Concept Creator which is developed on the basis of the previous render images.
The concept video has detailed the design language of the upcoming Nokia mobile. It’s noteworthy that the video is made from the design based on the previous rumours and leaks. So, the actual design of the phone could be totally different from what shown in the video.
Based on the concept video, the Nokia 9 will feature a dual camera setup at the rear that will be aligned vertically at the rear. There is a dedicated fingerprint scanner at the rear panel just above the Nokia logo. At the bottom, it has a USB Type-C port, speaker grill and a microphone. Surprisingly, the phone doesn’t show a 3.5mm audio jack. Also, a physical home button is missing on the front.
The phone will have a metal unibody design with curved edge display. There is a thin bezel visible on the top and bottom of the device. The volume rockers and the power button are visible on the right edge, while the SIM slot is present on the left.
Nokia 9: Rumoured Specifications
The previous rumours and report have suggested that the Nokia 9 will feature a 5.5-inch QHD OLED display. The handset will boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with Adreno 540 GPU, 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 3800mAh battery as well as support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 tech.
On the camera department, the handset is expected to have a pair of 12MP Carl Zeiss lenses. At the front, Nokia 9 will offer a 12MP camera for selfies and video calling. Moreover, the phone will have IP68 certification for resistance against dust and water. It will also have a fingerprint scanner as well as an IRIS scanner.
The Nokia 9 is believed to measure dimensions at 140.9×72.9×7.5mm and will have a thickness of 8.9mm. The phone is most likely to come pre-loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo OS.
