Moto C and Moto C Plus Could be the Cheapest Smartphones Ever

Motorola mobiles just have launched its Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones and the company is now focussing on the budget mobiles segment with its Moto C series of smartphones. Several reports have claimed that the Moto C and Moto C Plus smartphones have been leaked as the ‘most affordable handsets ever’.

According to report on Venture Beat by Evan Blass, the Moto C and Moto C Plus will have Android 7.0 Nougat OS pre-installed on them similar to the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. Both handsets will offer 5-inch displays. While the Moto C Plus will have an HD (720×1280 pixels) display, the Moto C will feature an FWVGA screen with 480×854 pixel resolution.

Lenovo is likely to offer both 3G and 4G models the Moto C, whereas the Moto C Plus will have 4G LTE connectivity option. The upcoming mobiles are believed to have MediaTek quad-core processors in it. Further, the Moto C variants will pack 1GB of RAM and the Moto C Plus will pack 1GB or 2GB of RAM based on the variant.

On the storage front, the Moto C Plus will have 16GB of internal storage and the Moto C will have an option for 8GB or 16GB internal storage. However, all the variants of these handsets will allow expandable storage via microSD card slot. In terms of battery, the Moto C will have a 2350mAh battery and Moto C Plus will have a 4000mAh battery.

The camera specifications on Moto C includes a 5MP primary rear camera with the flash module and a 2MP secondary front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. On the other hand, the Moto C Plus will offer an 8MP primary rear camera and a 2MP selfie shooter.

The report mentioned that both the smartphones are designed while keeping the first-time smartphone buyers in mind. Motorola is reportedly working on the fourth generation of the Moto E smartphones which are considered to be the entry-level smartphones from the company.

With Moto C and Moto C Plus, the Chinese smartphone maker will certainly focus the audience who are more well-known with the functions of feature phones and hence it is expected to provide user-friendly functionality.
