Micromax has recently dropped a teaser on social media for its upcoming event. The enigmatic teaser shows a mathematical calculation which reveals the possible date of the upcoming event on March 29, 2017, when the equation is shuffled. The company has maintained silence about the launch event. However, few past teasers suggest that the company will introduce a new smartphone at the event.

Micromax has been sending out teasers over the past few weeks. The latest teaser simply says 13 cube, which is equal to 2197. A recent tweet on Micromax Twitter handle showed a GIF image which illustrated two spheres lit up with a tagline ‘Cannot Overlook’. This could possibly indicate a smartphone with dual camera setup at the rear panel.

This adds solidness to the last month’s leak on Weibo which showed live images of an unidentified Micromax mobile. It’s worth mention that the leaked Micromax smartphone showcases dual rear camera with flash module amid. Furthermore, the smartphone is expected to bear a model number ‘Micromax E4815‘. It also revealed a curved metallic build. If launched, the alleged smartphone will be the first Micromax smartphone to feature a dual rear camera.

The mathematical calculation of 13-cubed in teaser could also hint that the upcoming mobile will offer two 13MP rear cameras along with a 13MP front shooter.

Earlier this month, Micromax started a word puzzles campaign on Twitter for fans to guess some of the features which could get featured in the upcoming smartphones. The earlier teasers hint that the smartphone will be likely to feature Google Duo app, 4G VoLTE, and 12 regional language support.

In the past year, Micromax has lost its market position to the Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo which have now dominated the Indian smartphone space. Interestingly, Micromax is holding an event on the same day as the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Micromax hasn’t launched a flagship smartphone in India. Last year in April, the company released its flagship smartphone called as the Canvas 6 Pro for a price tag of Rs 13,999. With the unidentified smartphone, Micromax will return to the flagship smartphone space.
