A new Micromax mobile has been listed on company’s official website under its Canvas Fire range of products. The latest mobile is listed online as Micromax Canvas Fire 6, which seems to be the successor of the Canvas Fire 5 that was launched earlier this year in India for a price of Rs 6,199. The new smartphone is expected to get launched soon in the same price range in the Indian market.
The Micromax Canvas Fire 6 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. The device is equipped with Cortex A53 quad-core processor clocked at 1.0GHz paired with Mali T720 GPU. The latest mobile comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which could get extended up to 32GB via microSD card. It runs on an older Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
On the camera front, the Canvas Fire 6 offers an 8MP primary rear camera with a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The rear camera of the device has HD recording capabilities and playback. The latest mobile gets its power from a 3050mAh battery which is claimed to deliver a talk time of 27 hours and a standby time of 550 hours.
The Canvas Fire 6 come equipped with B-Bass Technology along with 96db loudspeaker and amplifier which is capable of a low-frequency sound output up to 680Hz. Such low-frequency sound output is ideal for bass-lovers. The overall sound quality of the smartphone is enhanced with the 96db speakers. Hence, the smartphone comes with a tagline ‘Music Just Got a Shot of Steroids!’.
The Micromax Canvas Fire 6 offers connectivity options such as dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, micro USB port, FM Radio, GPS, and Bluetooth. The sensor on board includes gyro, proximity sensor, G-sensor, and light sensor. The device measure dimensions at 145x73x8.3mm and weighs 155 grams. However, the company has not announced the official pricing and availability of its latest mobile.
To recall, the existing Micromax Canvas Fire 5 features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with a MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. It offers an 8MP primary rear camera alongside a 5MP selfie shooter. The smartphone was launched with a price of Rs 6,199 and is now available for Rs 5,799.
