Meizu has announced a range of new smartphone called Meizu 15, Meizu 15 Lite and Meizu 15 Plus at an event in China. The latest phones feature regular 16:9 aspect ratio. The USP of these smartphones is the inclusion of USB Type-C port and a vertical dual camera offering on Meizu 15 and 15 Plus.
Meizu 15 4GB of RAM + 64GB on internal storage is priced at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs 26,400), while the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs 29,500). The Meizu 15 Plus is priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 31,500) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage option and CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs 34,700) for 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. Lastly, the Meizu 15 Lite smartphone is priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs 17,900) for 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage model.
Meizu 15: Specifications
The new Meizu model features a 5.46-inch Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The handset runs on an Android operating system powered by custom Flyme 7 OS on top. It comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with Adreno 512 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.
For photography, there is a dual rear camera setup including 12MP + 20MP sensors with PDAF, face tracing, laser autofocus, and f/1.8 aperture. Up front, there is a 20MP selfie snapper with face recognition and f/2.0 aperture. The phone has a 3000mAh battery under the hood. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The sensor onboard includes gravity sensor, accelerometer, barometer, ambient light sensor, hall sensor, digital compass, and proximity sensor. The handset measures dimensions at 143x72x7.25mm and weighs at 152 grams.
Meizu 15 Plus: Specifications
The handset features a 5.95-inch Quad HD (1440×2560 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 16:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Samsung Exynos 8895 octa-core processor paired with Mali G71 GPU, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage.

On the camera department, the phone brags a dual camera setup at the rear comprising a 12MP primary sensor paired with a 20MP secondary sensor. On the front, there is a 20MP selfie shooter which doubles as a webcam for video calling. The front camera supports f/2.0 aperture, face unlock recognition, and AI beauty features. A 3500mAh battery completes the package.
The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The 15 Lite features a 5.46-inch LCD display with 16:9 aspect ratio. The phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage. On the camera department, the phone has a single 12MP primary rear camera with f/1.9 aperture. Also, a single 20MP front-facing camera will take care of your selfie and video calling needs. There is a 3000mAh battery with 18W mCharge compatible charger.
