LG is rumoured to be working on a toned down version of its LG G6 smartphone. The alleged smartphone was called as the LG G6 Mini that will launch sometime later this year. In a recent development, the upcoming mobile is now tipped to be launched as LG Q6. Now, the supposed smartphone has cleared the FCC certification with M700 model number which suggests at an imminent launch.
An eminent tipster Evan Blass has posted a tweet revealing details about the upcoming LG Q6. Evan tipped that the smartphone will offer a screen-to-body ratio of 18:5:9. Furthermore, he claimed that the handset will have a 3GB of RAM, a 13MP primary camera at the rear panel. On the other hand, the LG G6 has dual camera setup. The LG Q6 is likely to receive a few more changes from the original LG G6 model.
LG Q6: Specifications
According to the FCC listing, the LG Q6 will come with a model number M700 which will be smaller in size than the G6. The handset will have a 5.4-inch display and will have a screen-to-body ratio less than 80 percent.
Considering LG Q6 as an affordable smartphone, it could come equipped with a mid-range chip.
The LG G6 is presently available in India for around Rs 39,400. As LG Q6 is a scaled down version of LG G6, it is expected to get launched at a lower price point. The LG G6 was launched in February this year. It features a 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2880) display with pixel density of 564ppi.
The LG G6 has 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and option to extend storage up to 2TB via microSD card. For photography, it has two 13MP sensors on the rear panel and a 5MP selfie snapper at front. The handset runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS and boasts a 3300mAh non-removable battery. It measures dimensions at 148.9×71.9×7.9mm and weighs 163 grams.
On the other hand, a larger variant, the LG G6 Plus smartphone was launched in India last month. The LG G6 Plus shares similar specifications set as of the LG G6 smartphone. However, it has a few major changes such as a 5.7-inch full HD (1080×1920) display, 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and a 3300mAh battery.
