Huawei has recently launched its latest MateBook series of laptops which comprises the MateBook X, MateBook D, and MateBook E. The latest laptops have launched at a special event in Berlin. The Chinese OEM also released its Honor Band A2 during the event. Among these three laptops, the Huawei MateBook X is expected to face direct competition with Apple MacBook Air.
Interestingly, the Huawei MateBook E is a convertible tablet-cum-laptop, whereas the MateBook D is a normal laptop. Let’s take a closer look at the new products.
The Huawei MateBook X is surely the flagship laptop of the new Huawei laptop lineup. The MateBook X features a 13-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, 2K resolution, and aspect ratio of 3:2. It is an ultraportable laptop with a premium aluminium clamshell design. Nevertheless, the laptop flaunts an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio along with 4.4mm bezels.
Specification of Huawei Matebook X
The Huawei MateBook X boasts a 41.4Wh battery and features a fan-less design. The device has a fingerprint scanner embedded in its power button. Furthermore, the laptop is equipped with 7th Generation Intel Core processors (Core i7 and Core i5). It will be available in four variants- 4GB RAM + 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM + 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM + 128GB SSD, and 8GB RAM + 256GB SSD.
Pricing Details
Coming to the price, the MateBook X pricing will start from $1,599 (roughly Rs 100,000) and it will go up to $1,899 (roughly Rs 129,000). Additionally, the laptop will be made available in Rose Gold, Prestige Gold, and Space Gray colour options.
On the other hand, the Huawei MateBook D will come with a 15.6-inch full-HD (1080p) display and will flaunt an 83 percent screen-to-body ratio. It will be powered by 7th Generation Intel processors (Core i7 or Core i5). Moreover, it will come in three variants based on memory- 4GB RAM, 8GB RAM, and 16GB RAM. The prices of the MateBook D will start from $999 (roughly Rs 64,000) and will go up to $1,299 (roughly Rs 84,300). It will come in Space Grey, Aurora Blue, and Champagne Gold colour options.
Lastly, the Huawei MateBook E features a 12-inch display with 2K resolution. It is a sleek convertible laptop with an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio. The device is powered by a 7th Generation Intel i7 processor (from Core M to Core i5). The users get the choice to have 4GB or 8GB of RAM paired with 128GB SSD, 256GB SSD or 512GB SSD storage options. The Huawei MateBook E prices starts from $1,199 (roughly Rs 77,000) and goes up to $1,499 (roughly Rs 97,000). Also, it will be available in Champagne Gold and Titanium Grey colour options.
