The wearables market is almost flooded in the current scenario due to the general awareness about health and fitness. The smartwatch and wearable’s market is expected to grow further. Huawei has now added a new fitness band to make an effort for increasing its share in this market with its newly launched ‘Huawei Fit’ band priced at $129.99 (approximately Rs 8,700) in the US market, and EUR 149 (approximately Rs 11,000) in European markets.
The Huawei Fit sports a round face design which resembles the Pebble Time Round. The smart band features a 1.04-inch LCD display with 208×208 pixels resolution. The band could track the fitness activities such as walking, swimming, and running automatically beside counting the steps and calories.
The highlight of Huawei smartwatch is its heart rate monitor which works on high signal strength for delivering accuracy and tracking sleep patterns. The device has built-in training guidance for a range of marathons. It is available in Gray and Silver color options with Black, Blue or Orange straps, which can be exchanged using other 18mm wide straps.
Coming to the tracking feature, the Fit can routinely sense the activities when you are running, walking, or even sleeping with its set of built-in sensors. The band can provide the details of your step counts, sleep durations, and calories burned during a workout. The GPS is missing out in Fit, but it syncs with the Wear app by Huawei on Android mobile as well as iOS mobiles.
The heart rate monitor on Fit is said to be the accurate one as it implies automatic tracking via high signal strength. The training guidance on the device provides 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and full marathon support.
Apart from the fitness tracking, the Fit can also provide alerts for incoming calls and messages. The company has claimed that Fit’s battery could last up to six days with normal use and can deliver up to 30 days of standby time. It only takes around two hours for Huawei Fit to charge to its full capacity.
