Huami, a sub-brand of Xiaomi has recently launched its two new smartwatches named as Amazfit Sports Smartwatch 2 and Amazfit Watch 2S. Both of these smartwatches do not run on the popular Android Wear OS and instead run on Huami’s custom Watch 2.0 software.
Amazfit Sports Smartwatch 2 Features:
The Amazfit smartwatch 2 sports a 1.34-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 300 pixels and a 2.5D tempered glass. For activity tracking, the smartwatch has features like gyroscope, PPG heart rate sensor, triaxial accelerometer, barometer, a geomagnetic sensor and an ambient light sensor.
According to a report at GSM Arena, the smartwatch is waterproof up to 50 meters and can keep a track on 11 different kinds of sports activities. Amazfit Sports Smartwatch 2 also provides advanced metrics like exercise effect (TE), exercise load (TD), oxygen update (VO2 max) and recovery time. Furthermore, the watch is powered by a 280 mAh battery and 512Mb of RAM with 4GB of internal storage and is said to last for 35 hours on a single charge in GPS mode.
Amazfit Sports Smartwatch 2S features:
The Amazfit smartwatch 2S sports a more fancier design. It comes with a sapphire glass screen display for protection and leather straps. Although, the Amazfit smartwatch 2S does not come with a built-in GPS and heart rate sensor. Additionally, even this smartwatch is waterproof up to 50 meters of water as it comes with a 5 ATM rating.
As for the price for both these smartwatches, the sports smartwatch 2 has been launched in China for 999 Yuan which is around Rs. 9,700 approximately. Whereas the sports smartwatch 2S has been launched for 1499 Yuan which is around Rs. 14,580 approximately. Both these smartwatches will make an appearance at the CES 2018 next month. Though there is no official announcement about the availability of these smartwatches outside India.
