While HTC’s ‘For U’ event is around the corner, new rumors are suggesting the launch of another smartphone in company’s new U series. The earlier leaks suggested the launch of HTC U Ultra along with the HTC One X10 smartphone, and now a new smartphone named as HTC U Play has joined the bandwagon.
Although the specifications of HTC U Ultra and One X10 have been leaked partially few days before, a little information about the HTC U Play smartphone has arrived. The U Play smartphone is expected to feature a 5.2-inch display and ditch the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
The HTC U Ultra, codenamed as HTC Ocean is likely to offer a larger 6-inch display. The HTC U Play was codenamed as Alpine which is the smaller version of the U Ultra device.
As per the earlier rumors, the Ocean series smartphones will come with sleek and buttonless design language. The Ocean smartphone lineup includes the Ocean Master, Ocean Note, and Ocean Smart. A renowned leakster @OnLeaks posted on Twitter that the HTC U Play could be the Ocean Smart smartphone.
HTC has already ditched the standard 3.5mm headphone jack in its HTC Bolt aka HTC 10 evo following Apple, LeEco, and Moto devices.
HTC mobiles already released its smartphones with Android 7.0 Nougat OS out-of-the-box, so the upcoming smartphones are also expected to come with latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Also, the company is likely to offer Sense Touch UI on top.
Lastly, the HTC One X10 will be the successor to the One X9 smartphone which was launched last year. It will feature a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. It will come equipped with a 1.9GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor. The handset will offer a 16.3MP primary rear camera with 7.9MP front facing the camera. The other specifications of the One X10 are similar as the One X9, including 3GB of RAM, 32GB ROM, 5.5-inch Full HD screen.
