Last week, Google Play has also added the introductory app subscription service on discounted price. The Play Store is a home to millions of apps. The store showcases apps across categories. Some of them are free, while others are offered on payment or subscription basis. Google has added a new feature by which the app makers will let users use their apps for an introductory discounted price on subscriptions.

Google has mentioned in its blog post that the subscription business model is the fastest growing model on Play Store where the spending on subscription apps has been surged 10 times over the past three years. The discount on subscriptions feature has enabled the app developers to create an introductory fee for the new and unique subscribers for a certain period of time prior to the regular subscription price is charged.

For instance, if a new user subscribes to a subscription that costs Rs 30 per month, the developers are now eligible to offer the new subscribers the introductory price of Rs 10 for the first few months and later on the regular price will be applicable for usage.
