Google Might Release Andromeda OS with Pixel 3 Convertible and Huawei tablet on October 4

Google is all set for its event on October 4 where it will finally unveil its Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. But rumors hint out that the company will also release its brand new operating system called Andromeda alongside.

The alleged operating system is believed to be a combined version of Android and Chrome OS. Furthermore, Google is also expected to announce a tablet and a convertible laptop featuring the new OS.

The two devices based on the new Andromeda OS are said to be a Huawei Nexus tablet and Pixel 3 convertible tablet. The Pixel convertible tablet is expected to arrive in two variants- one with 8GB RAM + 32GB internal storage model and another with 16GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage. The upcoming tablets are expected to be equipped with Intel M3 processor.

The upcoming tablet, Pixel 3 is likely to come with a display size of 12.3-inch. The device will face an intense competition with Apple’s MacBook Air with such screen size. The device is also expected to feature a glass based trackpad that has been spotted on recently leaked renders of Pixel devices. The battery of both the upcoming tablets is rumored to deliver a backup of 10 hours with normal usage.

The Pixel tablet will feature a fingerprint scanner, two USB Type-C ports, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, support for a stylus, a backlit keyboard, four microphones, glass trackpad along with haptic feedback.

On the other hand, the Huawei tablet is expected to come in 7-inch display size. The upcoming tablet is expected to be featured with a 4GB of RAM and it might be the successor of the Nexus 7 (2013). Though Google has ditched its Nexus-branded product lineup, the upcoming tablet is rumored to come with ‘Nexus tablet’ moniker. You can check latest tablets here.
