Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced the launch of its latest Strix GL702ZC laptop in India on Thursday. The latest Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC laptop is powered by AMD’s eight-core Ryzen 1700 processor and multithreading technology. The laptop comes with a price tag of Rs. 134,990 and is available for pre-order. It will start being available in the country from March 20.
Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC: Features & Specifications
The laptop features a 17.3-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 60Hz of refresh rate. Also, the display comes with an anti-glare display with Radeon FreeSync support which offers ultra-smooth visuals. An interesting feature on the laptop is a backlit keyboard with an anti-ghosting feature which ensures that all the keystrokes are deciphered precisely.
Furthermore, the laptop is fuelled by the AMD Ryzen 7 1700 processor coupled with AMD Radeon RX580 graphics and 4GB RAM for VR applications. The chipset comes with eight cores and 16 threads with a maximum speed of 3.7GHz for intense gaming. Being the world’s first most powerful 8 Core AMD laptop, the company assures smooth and shutter-free gaming experience.
Prior to this, Asus had introduced the ROG Strix GL503, Scar, Hero Edition gaming laptops in India. However, they all pack an Intel Core-series processors. The ROG Strix GL702ZC is the first laptop to come with AMD’s Ryzen CPU.
Moreover, on the storage front, the Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC laptop sports a 256GB SATA SSD and a 1TB HDD. The device runs on the Windows 10 Home operating system. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi ac 2×2, Bluetooth 4.1, USB 3.0, USB Type C, Mini Display port, HDMI 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack and more. Also, as for the dimensions, the latest Asus laptop measures 415x280x340mm and weighs 3.2kg along with the battery.
Additionally, the Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC laptop has four display modes which can be accessed with a single click. The modes include Normal mode, Vivid mode, Eye Care mode and Manual mode. The laptop also comes with the ROG gaming centre which will allow gamers to launch ROG applications and access the settings menu.
